Nadia Farjood (@NadiaFarjood) is the Senior Manager for Strategic Initiatives at Political Parity, a nonpartisan platform accelerating the energies of leaders and researchers to elevate women in Congress and governorships in the United States. Nadia graduated magna cum laude in Government from Harvard, where she actively advanced women’s leadership through a variety of avenues, from supporting the creation of a course on Women in U.S. Politics to co-directing Athena, a gender empowerment and mentoring program for low-income high school students in Boston and Cambridge, run through the Phillips Brooks House Association.
Inspired by women’s runs in 2012, Nadia wrote her senior thesis on women Senators’ paths to office. She has served as a summer associate at the White House, an intern on the Elizabeth Warren for U.S. Senate campaign, and as an intern for U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein. She completed the Harvard Kennedy School’s Women and Public Policy Program’s “Harvard Square to the Oval Office” political leadership training practicum and is a proud California Girl State alumna. Nadia is dedicated to promoting women to the highest levels of political leadership and believes this must start by energizing young women to take civic action.
