Heather Burke harnesses social innovation and cross-sector partnerships to develop systemic solutions to critical global challenges. She is the chief strategy officer at girltank, a community hub and crowdfunding platform for cutting-edge female social entrepreneurs, which received the 2013 Mothers of Invention award from Newsweek &The Daily Beast and Toyota. She is also a director at Peacework Development Fund, where she leads Project Belize, a public-private partnership and corporate responsibility investment of PwC that fosters youth entrepreneurship and economic opportunity in Belize. Heather developed the Project Belize youth Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship curriculum, which has been adopted nationally by the Belize Ministry of Education. With cross-sector development experience in 12 countries and expertise in gender and social impact, Heather builds investment strategies and designs engagement opportunities for individuals, companies, and organizations to realize their full potential as change agents. She is a contributor at Womenetics and the author of Women’s Empowerment and Progress: Worldwide Support Program for Social Entrepreneurs for the Womanity Foundation.
