Cathy Nyce is the Marketing Manager for State Farm Insurance’s MidAtlantic Zone where she leads a team in the development and implementation of an annual marketing plan supporting 1,400 local State Farm agents. The plan includes traditional mass media, digital and event sponsorships. During her 25 year career at State Farm Cathy has also served as a Communication Strategist to senior executives and Federal Affairs Liaison where she was involved in the federal public policy arena and worked closely with numerous insurance trade organizations.
Prior to that, Cathy was a claims team manager for over 15 years, where her experience included managing the litigation unit for the D.C. area. A graduate of Georgia College, Cathy attended Georgia State University Law School, and received her Master’s degree in Legal and Ethical Studies from the University of Baltimore. She recently returned to graduate school and is enrolled in the Master’s program in Corporate Communication and Public Relations at Georgetown University. Cathy is active in politics and the community. She lives in Maryland with her husband, Erik, a District Court Judge. Their daughter, Caroline, is an alumna of the Running Start summer program and a senior at Claremont McKenna College. Their son, Erik, jr. is a sophomore at Whittier College.
