YWPL: Michigan Edition

June 17 – June 21, 2012

Camp Hawthorn Hollow, Columbus MI

Hosted in conjunction with: Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan(GSSEM), Michigan Women’s Foundation (MWF), & Women Official Network Foundation (WON).

Wondering how to best harness your leadership potential to benefit you now and down the road? Come to Camp Moxie and learn to develop your skills in three core areas: business, philanthropy and government.

This four-day camp not only incorporates typical camp activties to explore the great outdoors, but also puts an emphasis on girls developing leadership skills they can use now. The goal is for the girls to walk away feeling that they can start a business, advocate for a cause, or run for class president.

Girls participate in interactive workshops and hands-on activties in the interest areas of entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and public office all led by women executives, business owners and elected officials.

Additional Information

  • Cost to attend is $100 which includes lodging, meals, and all workshops and activities.
  • Applicants must be high school aged women who have completed grades 9-12 from Michigan.
