Running Start’s 9th Annual Young Women to Watch Awards honored the youngest women in politics! The annual awards dinner also provided programmatic training to 3 of Running Start’s most impressive alums. These 3 alums were selected after competing in a nationwide contest to solicit votes on social media and engaging in “boots-on-the-ground” campaign simulations prior to the Awards to garner support.

At the Young Women to Watch Awards, the alums campaigned with attendees to ask for their votes, gave rousing speeches, and eventually, one of them walked away with a $5,000 grant to put towards a nonpartisan political cause of their choosing.

The 2015 Awards had e a vintage campaign theme and feel, were hosted in the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, and we hope it was the best party on Capitol Hill!
