Running Start Alumnae to Honor Hunger Games Actress Jacqueline Emerson

Washington, DC—Running Start, a nonpartisan organization that provides young women with the skills and inspiration to lead in politics, as part of the crucial effort to improve gender parity in American politics, will celebrate six remarkable and inspiring women at the sixth Annual Women to Watch Awards in Washington on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.  This year’s Women to Watch honorees are:

  • Representative Gabrielle Giffords, U.S. House of Representatives, 2007 to 2012 (AZ-08)
  • Representative Martha Roby, U.S. House of Representatives (AL-02)
  • Ambassador Capricia Penavic Marshall, Chief of Protocol of the United States
  • Taryn Davis, Founder and Executive Director, American Widow Project
  • Natalie Randolph, Varsity Football Coach, Coolidge High School
  • Rocio Ortega, Student Activist
