Kate Yglesias Houghton

Kate Yglesias Houghton has spent her career working as a Democratic staff member for elected officials and surrogates as well as developing strategic outreach programming and opportunities for Democratic leaders and activists working to engage women voters.  Kate is also the President and a founding member of the Congressional Women’s Softball Game, a non-profit charity event which has raised more than $500,000 since 2009 for young women battling breast cancer and features a bi-partisan, bi-cameral team of female Members of Congress against women of the DC press corp.  Kate, a native of Miami, FL, resides in Washington, DC with her husband Vince.  She has a B.A. in Political Science from Florida International University and a M.A. in Public Policy from George Mason University.
